Merta Prospect Overview

The Merta Prospect is located in Wharton County approximately 7 miles NW from El Campo, Texas.  The proposed test well will be drilled to approximately 8,400′ to test a 3D defined trough-peak amplitude anomaly within the lower Cook Mountain interval.  There are numerous nearby analogs that have produced over 61 Bcf and 1.3 MMBO from these sands.  The nearest analog to the Merta Prospect is approximately a half mile to the west.  The analog well (the Conoco #1 Merta) has 100′ of net sand and produced approximately 3.2 Bcf and 76,000 BO (it is no longer producing.)
